Calculation and Design of Industrial Fan and Ventilation (Exhaust) Systems
To control airflow and create suitable pressure in industrial systems such as HVAC systems, dust collection systems, etc., the following steps are taken for the calculation and design of industrial fans and exhaust systems:
- Airflow Calculation: First, the required airflow for the industrial system needs to be calculated. This includes calculating the airflow required for HVAC, dust collection, etc.
- Pressure Calculation: After determining the airflow, the pressure required to move air in the industrial system needs to be calculated. This includes calculating the pressure required for HVAC, dust collection, etc.
- Fan Type Selection: After calculating the airflow and required pressure, the appropriate type of fan for the industrial system needs to be selected. Various types of fans such as axial fans, centrifugal fans, etc., are available, each with its own unique characteristics.
- Fan Dimension Calculation: After selecting the fan type, the appropriate dimensions of the fan for the industrial system need to be calculated. This includes the fan diameter, number of blades, blade angle, etc.
- Installation and Commissioning: After calculating and designing the fan and exhaust system, the fan needs to be installed, and the exhaust system needs to be commissioned. In this stage, appropriate tools should be used for the installation and commissioning of the fan and exhaust system.
It’s important to remember that the calculation and design of industrial fan and exhaust systems are crucial for controlling airflow and creating suitable pressure in industrial systems. For more information, please contact Sahand Havasaz specialists at:
