A dry dust collector is a type of device that is useful for sucking the generated dust and collecting solid particles from the air during work to prevent the operator from inhaling them and dispersing them in the work environment and causing collateral damage.
But how does the dry Dust Collector work? The exhaust air enters the collector, where the heavier particles fall downward into the hopper, while the air is extracted upward.
Dry dust collectors are the most common equipment used to extract dust from industrial environments. Two of the most popular systems are the pulse jet dust collector and the vibrating dust collector.

The Function of Dry dust collector

In general, the function of a dry dust collector is that the polluted air entering the bag absorbs the particles in the air on the surface of the bag, and the clean air enters the bag in reverse, and, finally, the dust layer falls from its wall.

Application of dry dust collector

A dry dust collector is widely used in environments such as factories, workshops, mines, welding, painting, carpentry, and car bodies.

Dry Dust Collector Systems

Dry dust collectors like baghouse systems are highly effective and capable of achieving up to 99.9% efficiency. They can be designed to filter and capture abrasive particles, acid gases, fumes, fine powders, air pollutants, and airborne toxic materials in dust, welding fumes, and particulate residue.

Dry dust collectors are used in such diverse industries as food processing and agricultural plants, asphalt, and cement plants, coal processing plants, quarries, steel and iron foundries, chemical and paint manufacturing plants, utilities, power generation and energy plants, and so on.

What are dry-type dust collectors?

The most common types of industrial dust collectors used in industrial environments are:

  1. Pulse jet dust collector : A pulse jet dust collector also called a pulse jet bag filter or a pulse jet bag house, is a dry fabric filtration system designed to remove particles and dust collected from the surface of the filter medium by blasting compressed air. This system with excellent filtration efficiency can remove harmful particles, smoke, and gas from entering work environments or releasing into the atmosphere.Pulse jet dust collector
  2. shaker duster : Where compressed air is unavailable or impractical, vibrating dust extractors are an excellent alternative. Shaker cloth filtration uses a shaker cleaning system to release collected dust particles from the filter surfaces by mechanically shaking the filter bags. Shaking can be done manually or using a motor attached to the rack that supports the filter bags. When air flow is temporarily stopped, the system can be cleaned offline or it can be cleaned in sections of an enclosure. The chamber feature provides continuous cleaning.
  3. Cartridge dust collector : Cartridge collectors are another type of fabric filter designed for specific configurations and applications. They are ideal for placement in smaller spaces that have the same airflow as larger bag systems. The Sahand Havasaz team considers cartridge collectors to be cost-effective systems that carry minimal safety risks. Because more fabric surface area is packed into smaller spaces, cartridge collectors use fewer filters, and because filters are externally replaceable, filters can be changed quickly with fewer safety hazards.Cartridge dust collector
  4. Cyclone dust collector : Cyclone dust collectors are a type of mechanical inertial separator that removes dust from a gas stream through centrifugal or cyclonic force within a hopper chamber. As the name suggests, cyclone dust collectors create an intense circular airflow, a vortex in effect, to separate particles from the air. Heavier particles are pushed against the outer wall of the hopper and fall into a collection chamber at the bottom. Because they remove heavier particles from the airstream, cyclone systems are often employed as a pre-cleaner for larger baghouse filtration systems.

The Sahand Havasaz team has designed them in a wide range of configurations for industrial filtration needs. Sizes range from massive outdoor multi-cyclone collectors attached to buildings to portable dust collectors designed for laboratory use.
